Did you know that Protected Conservation Areas (PCAs) are at the core of Africa’s conservation efforts?  With over 9,000 designated sites, PCAs cover an impressive 19% of the continent’s land and inland waters and 17% of its marine areas! These protected regions play a crucial role in safeguarding Africa’s unique wildlife and ecosystems (Protected Planet 2023).
